We are really getting into the holiday spirit early this year. We busted out the Christmas tree, decorated a gingerbread house and started our advent calendar. I came across a cute DIY advent calendar on the internet using toilet paper rolls. I then tweaked it with a stand and embellishments. Behind each number is a surprise and we read a passage out of the bible leading up to the birth of Christ. Its a great opportunity to teach the true story of Christmas. Hadley also has been getting into the holiday spirit at school. She made a kite ornament for the school tree. The theme is "Things that can fly".
